16 march

it's a big world after all
call those blanks what you will
fill those tanks with gas or thrills
only the power to do what you want call all those haunts or bring them to real
feel space and time and clouds align
nature unwinds and green unfurls
mountains swirl sky in creamsugar sweetthink

back on the other brink: conquered by concrete
twirl is slowmotion in exhaust-filled devotion
inhale the snail-pace the ratrace and other animal movements
the proof spent looking for the pudding
diving in and gasping for meaning
grasping for reasons

ours to wonder why
ours to jump to try out in real time
only this now and trite as may be
let's please our opportunities
let's build up immunities by taking on risks
down the hill there's else
up the hill there's view
through there's different

unfurling possibility too easy too far too vast a cast of thousands
a bucket of bouquets to give away to all the lucky winners
chicken dinners and cabbage rolls and cheesecakes sundaes whatever
treats a menu full with all the picking left to us
