justwrite 18 april

my head is heavy with sun
runners and their funners with awkward elbow ideas
i want to be like hey and as hey and similar simile attempts
wait until that kite goes up
another miracle of suspension of disbelief
of relief on the part of the father with the daughters
farther and farther a-field
yielding to the glare disappearing into air
nothing thin is invisible
one nation is easily divisible
there are lowest common denominators
there are pointless confused demonstrators
we say to ourselves we must be free
we tell each other our plans
we scan horizons with grocery line beeps
what is it how much does it cost what does it do
does it come in green
how recyclable are you just asking
tasking a list and breaking eggs
no one needs to grow up too fast
no one needs to last past the past
there is an uncertain future i'm sure
i wonder where we're wandering toward
when i come back when i keep track
lacking all the right accents i have no faith
a wraith pinned to a mintchocolate swatch
the mist is missed and doesn't fit in tupperware
share your words with the listeners there are many

(I'm kind of a dork, but I had to go back to my birthday and read what happened then.)

I like this one a lot (and not because it happened on my birthday).
