Every time I’ve been to any sort of retreat—most especially,
a writing retreat—I’ve been sure that I should spend more time in said retreat.
It’s also fair to note that when I haven’t been to any kind of retreat in a
long time, I think about how important it is to set up such an opportunity,
whether formal or informal, with or without others…
To summarize: writing retreats are important to me—setting aside
time to disappear into an activity of great importance to me. Yet, even when I write
this, the word DISAPPEAR stands out, and it’s impossible to make a sustainable
plan for life in which one simply disappears—right?
If I had all the answers, I wouldn’t ask so many questions…
am I right?
