what use is the answer if the questions's not there and all pears from the tree take their leave and breeze easy into baskets with a task it's impossible to know in minds unbroken by thought though we've caught ourselves wondering sometimes as we unwind our imaginings and stretch the sky starward forearmed and upper thighed with the hip bones connected to the unknown and the alabaster smiling back in teeth: marvel and the marble we will build our next canoe from -- swimming fast to carry it downstream --

While this blog's original purpose was to keep myself honest in my practice of doing daily justwrites-- 10-minute freewrites from some unusual starting points-- it has meandered to occasionally include other sorts of writing, to address other goals, and to even include other authors. Now, its main function is as a sort of verbal/ thought outcropping in public view. These are not polished pieces, and most are completely rough drafts.
