feeling the crush
turn away
kitchen floor remedy for metaphor
only this and less
guess disappointment no more
back against the dishwasher
waiting to come clean
relieved of all the else
heavy doubt and heart
whirring tick tock waterflow
there is a rhythm we can only feel
set aside the outside
curl to close to calm
shut out all the other
turn in to turn away
lock the lids and silverware
wash and wish away
close eyes close days close doors
